I'm also thinking some kind of mechanical which combined with a lack of training of how to overcome.

At least you are not flying China Eastern.

I've booked flights with them before, but for different reasons, I never got on. It's looking like I never will again.

Oh Cmon now! The 737 is one of the most widely used commercial aircraft in the world….for several decades. You should be more fearful of your Uber driver, not the damn airplane.

Rule #1 according to my buddy a senior A320 captain at jet blue is,"I won't fly on foreign airlines". I'd say that's great advice.

But then you miss out on seeing so much of the world.

I've flown foreign airlines. So have probably billions of other people. Statistics are on your side.

There were also fears sabotage could have played a part, but this was deemed unlikely due to it being a domestic flight in China. Professor Rowe said the Covid restrictions on entering the country reduced the chance of this being at play.

So only other countries citizens are likely to commit sabotage? And did they really credit Covid restrictions? What weird shite to add to the article.

Why is it that so many crashes of commercial passenger aircraft happen in foreign countries? Is it our standards?
Our culture?

WTH?

Haven’t read the thread yet but I flew on one of the first flights the day they put the 737 back in the fleet (Jan 5 2021 from Dallas to DC). I was slightly worried...

Standards IMO.

The US hasn't had a major airliner crash in over 20 years. That's incredible.

Unless there was a struggle for control.
