plan to add a cat walk to my gunnel
Same.
My wish list is walk-around gunnel, closed in transom, flotation bracket, console/leaning post/T top, and some front storage box work to make them flush with the front deck so they can be used as lounging seats ala the new blackjacks.
Probably will be 3-5 years before I can actually start it. Part of my problem is I can't stomach taking the boat out of service for that long. Too scared to miss a trip.

I know a guy that flipped 42 Freemans for a few years. He would take delivery of one, and order the next one. When the other was ready for delivery, he would sell the one he had.
I know people that weren’t even taking delivery lol. They were putting deposits on build slots, and then selling build slots for profit to people that didn’t want a long wait time
But my buddies dad has basically done what you described on every boat he’s owned for past few years. He’s in a 26 Costa right now actually.
Build a new one, order new one when first is delivered, fish it for a year or 2, sell it for more than or equal to what the one he ordered cost, and get brand new boat for what he sells 2yr old boat for. Rinse and repeat. Boat flipping was a great way to make money or stay on a new boat several years ago. Has definitely slowed down lately though.

Mastercraft is top quality for a wake boat which is why it’s expensive. They use quality components for everything and have a ton of options. They’re designed for competition skiing and wakeboarding but have way too much useless stuff added on for the average family pulling kids on tubes and skis. So it’s a status symbol. You can get a cheaper wake boat brand like Moomba that will do all you need for under half the price of a Mastercraft. Still not cheap but not 2-300k. I’ve seen them for 90-120k
All of the new boats have so much tech in them that maintenance on them is insane when things go wrong. I had a screen on my MC go out and it was $5000 to replace it plus labor. Thankfully mine still has manual gauges and switches so I could use it while waiting on the part. The new ones are all digital and it's gonna be a PITA once those things start breaking.
The Moomba dealer by me has one of their entry level models priced at $96k. It's a 2023 that they can't move and is still a new boat.
South Austin Marine
A floating computer system designed to come to the brink of intentionally sinking is probably gonna have some issues.

Never had a plane, but I've had boats and women. Yes, I'll be renting from here on out.

I just bought a new 78k 21ft center console for 61k, which was the best deal I could find on what we wanted. Boat prices are insane and due for a correction. A Blackjack 256 Coastal or Pathfinder 2400/2600 TRS would be perfect but I'm not paying 150k or more for a boat.
What did you buy?
