Bluetooth calls in the car, I need an OT ruling

I submit that if someone answers a Bluetooth call in the car, it is their responsibility to immediately state if an easily offended person is also in the car listening.

Seems sketchy as frick when you're driving and have to say, " Hey so&so, I'm in the car with X."
I take it as, "Hey, don't say anything stupid about X, she's sitting next to me."

It should be a law that you have to let the other party know when they are on speakerphone.

This is true for business, I also would do it with any friends.
An exception is when I'm talking to my parents while my gf is in the car, then I don't bother.

I generally tell people they're on speaker phone in general. Usually the only people that call me are my coworkers and sometimes the information they call me about it meant to be confidential.

how about you don't answer the fricking phone when someone in the vehicle with you. especially if you'll have to throw out a disclaimer. don't answer the damn phone.

I try to say something like, "Sorry for the road noise, Bluetooth picked up. So and so and I are headed to grab a bite to eat" or something like that. This is a dumb example but you can do it nonchalantly.

I think it is on the driver to appropriately screen the caller. Don't answer if you can't switch over to the phone with sensitive ears present.
