Or maybe we would not need those types of vehicles weapons and armor if we did not have to send cops into places where more murders are being committed than wars that are currently being fought.
Stop the fricking killing and this country would be light years ahead of where it is. There is a root cause to all of this and damn sure ain't the police.

They definitely deserve some of the blame.
Despite shitty pay and training, most police officers do a good job. You rarely hear of these incidents involving state police. I would guess it’s because they have higher education requirements and do a better job of training cadets.
With all that being said, most officer involved shootings do happen because the suspect decided to do something incredibly dumb....like fight cops and take their tasers

you think police having chargers has anything to do with murder? You think they use the bearcats for chicago gang murders?
that shite is only useful for the rare blue moon events, and even then the swat team is a better application than something like a local ascension parish department. they would be much better off with more training in de-escalation than vehicles and guns for rare mass shooting or hostage events. get real.

I agree defunding isnt the answer. its training and accountability.
Doctors didnt get defunded for the opioid crisis, they got education, training, tracking, and held accountable. shite improved.
