Blue Crab Restaurant employee feared dead after trying to save two drunk customers

Just a crazy story. Prayers go out to all involved
ETA: two customers drunk in restaurant- asked to leave. Get into vehicle and drive into lake. Employees at restaurant see what happened and jump into lake to save drunk customers. One drunk customer saved, one dead. One employee still missing and feared dead

What fricking senseless incident. I will never understand people that get so out of control when they're drunk that they do things like that. Its honestly incredible because it seems so obviously stupid.

All of this. If you're gonna drink be mature enough to handle it and be responsible. Now two people are dead cause of an idiot. I hope the survivor lives with that fact for the rest of their life, that they are in fact a piece of shite.

This is why you designate a driver. People hace poor judgement/willpower when drunk. That is the whole mechanism behind beer goggles. Those girls don't really look any prettier, you judgement is impaired or your willpower to resist the urge to anything willing is lacking.

Hits close to home for me, lost my dad and my best friend to other people driving drunk. I can get a little preachy, but we're all tempted at times to jump behind the wheel.
