CHICAGO (CBS) — What was billed as a demonstration on the Mag Mile in support of Apple’s fight with the FBI turned into the latest protest over the city’s handling of the Laquan McDonald case, reports WBBM’s Terry Keshner.
About 15 people turned out to protest the FBI’s fight against Apple, but many more from the Black Lives Matter movement seized the spotlight for a demonstration of their own around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
There were the familiar calls for Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Cook County State’s Attorney Anita Alvarez to resign, there was some pushing and shoving with police officers when some protesters refused to clear a path for pedestrians along busy Michigan Avenue in front of the Apple Store at 679 N. Michigan.

An American flag was set on fire, there were some more tussles between protesters and police then it was over. At least one protester was taken into custody.
Ryan Kolak of the Fight for the Future Movement was there for the Apple protest. He told WBBM, “It’s a little frustrating to us that it wasn’t as helpful for us to get our message out, but I’m always in support of people being able to speak their mind and being able to have the ability to make their voice heard.”

How many folks like Laquans are being murdered every day by other black folk in our urban areas?

I first thought it was the Bureau of Land Management, but black lives matter protestors makes way more sense.

People burning the American flag here in the U.S. should be dropped off smack dab in the middle of shite in Syria. I bet they would give an arm and a leg to come back.

Note to self...change Chicago travel plans.

so BLM is now hijacking relatively small protests now?

They might have to.

They probably wanted to piggyback on someone else's protesting permit instead of getting one for themselves

How did all those people get off of work? Did Chicago have a tornado day as well?

They won't ever leave America. We give them too many handouts here.
It's funny how BLM refuses to address the real issue of BvB crime.

I might actually watch the Oscars this year to see the protest. Protesting rich apologists is must see TV.
