I don't love either but I eat it when it's cooked. Still a dumb tradition.

Only thing better would be to mix the black eyed peas with mayo, cornbread and spaghetti, then drizzle some pepper juice on top. FTMFW.

I'm not a fan of cabbage in any form but love blackeye peas cooked down the cajun way.

Cooking some cabbage and black-eyed peas now. Need all the luck I can get for 2016.

Same here.

Using the Christmas ham and bacon for the cabbage.

Many folks have a tradition of greens in general rather than cabbage. I switched greens this year.

Mustards, collards, and turnip greens are in the pot with some smoked turkey wings. Jalapeno-cornbread and blackeye peas will accompany.

Don't boil the cabbage, fry it with some bacon.

If you don't eat black eyed peas and cabbage on New Year's Day you're either a damn Yankee or have the taste of a 10 year old

You think this is a stupid tradition? Having a live tiger in a cage at football games tops this any day of the year.

You can have brussel sprouts if you only need a little money.
