Am I the only one who thinks this is the stupidest New Years tradition out there? What a way to start the New Year.....eat some gross food. I never liked cabbage and black-eyed peas are meh.

I actually sorta agree. I have nothing against either of those foods, but they aren't at the top of my list either.

I don't find it strange. I find it tortuous or even murderous to remove the eyes from Blacks just for your first meal in the new year.

Worst hangover food ever. Why couldn't healthy , lucky, and wealthy be a cheeseburger and some greasy fries

Cook the cabbage with bacon fat and tasso. Cook the black eyed peas with bacon fat and ham. Add in cheesy real from scratch cornbread.
Fantastic hangover food.
