I want back to school later in life and was studying in the law school with proper student ID. Nodded off and was awakened by no less than 6 cops with flashlights in my face asking what I was doing there. Not the most pleasant way to be awakened from a deep sleep.

I am white, and so white I am unable to tan at all.

Not sure it is a black or white thing as much as people over react before using some common sense and diffusing issues early on with no escalation.

I want to start a site that reports facts. This story would be "dumbass calls cops on a middle aged idiot sleeping in the library."

Wow, that's like so much worse than the home invasion a couple miles from me yesterday

6 cops waking you up isn't an example of the cops keeping things diffused and low key

The ulterior motive behind the racial victim movement is to draw attention away from the failures of the past forty years. If black folk took an objective look at the state of their cities and neighborhoods after 40-50 years of voting D, they wouldn't be so happy with what they find. Instead, the Democrats and media use bullshite stories to fan racial flames so we can pretend like it is still 1957.

Why would someone waste time and money getting a degree in African Studies? Do you really need to take classes on that? Why not just check out a bunch of books from the public library that deal with that subject matter? The shitty thing is she might be getting grant money or a scholarship to pay for that worthless degree

These stories all start the same way:

"Black guys arrested in Philadelphia Starbucks for trying to order coffee!"

"Black guy shot in Oakland while playing on his phone!"

"Girl calls police on sleeping black man!"

"Michael Brown shot in the head while on his knees chanting hands up don't shoot!"

Then those pesky things called "facts" come out and the narrative is blown to shite.

I blame this shite on social media. In most (if not all), race isn't the issue. It just so happened that in these situations, it was a black person. I am sure there are things that happen all the time, involving a white person... that if that person was black, it would be viewed completely different.

In this situation, if the Yale student was white and the same white girl called the cops on her, IF it became a story it would be "Yale student falls asleep while studying. Girl calls cops". That isn't as news worthy as "BLACK Yale student falls asleep while studying. WHITE girl calls cops".. Insert race and you got a story people will click on.

With all that said, I still do believe that there are those SJW types who are all for "being a voice for black people", but when it comes to interacting with black people, it's a different story for them.

At what point can we blame the yappy white bitch for taking "if you see something say something" way too far?

Exactly.

I snore like a freight train so it was pretty clear I was not dead and whoever found me first could have just woken me up before calling the cops.

Minding own business, breaking no laws but some blame them or put them down. Got it.

When I read the OP it sounded like the sleeping person was female, not male.

This is women on woman thing.

Another female student came in, turned on the lights and told her, "You're not supposed to be sleeping here. I'm going to call the police."

This is what I don't get. She fell asleep working on her paper in the dark?

Perhaps the white girl overreacted, but if anybody walks into a room, turns on the lights and unexpectedly sees some random 30-something sleeping, they might do the same. Particularly if the sleeping person instantly becomes combative.

Hell, given all the twisted stories in the media these days, people are probably becoming more paranoid of others.

Guaranteed is a low income government funded degree. She probably gets a stipend for “school supplies” and free boarding as well.

Her undergrad was in Computer Science. By her resume, she seems like an excellent lady.
