I looked at your post history. And you said on the rant that the 2019 LSU football team's defense wasn't that good.
They ranked in the lower 30ths out of what? 129-130.. There were at least 3 games I can think of that they played a huge factor when they needed to step up. You don't win a national title with a defense that wasn't that good.

2019's defense was as good as they needed to be.

The 2019 LSU offense scored so quickly it put the defense back on the field with little rest. Add to that garbage yards accrued by our opponents after the game was well in hand. Statistically it made our defense a top 30 instead of a top 10.
