Speaking of personalities...
Gravy is hosting a "Drinks on G" event where he...well, the idiots who donate to his campaign...buys drinks and listens to what we have to say about BR. Let us all show ans bring Clarence with us.
"Mornin Gravy. I will have a glass of MacAllan Rare Cask and a Corona please. "

Buggs was great on a lunchtime drive. Hopefully he lands elsewhere.

No shite! They waited until after their show, then fired them with no warning. That's some cold hearted crap which is commonplace in that industry. frick that..
Yup, absolutely commonplace. No one wants to take a chance on someone going on air knowing they are getting fired.

They sure seemed (the station, not Profita and Gallagher personally) terrified of the satellite fed Walton & Johnson on WJBO. I am curious to know what station in BR is really leading in the morning drive ratings.
If Gordy is scared of W&J on a fricking AM station, he's more stupid than I thought. W&J have a decent following but not a whole lot of people are going to put up with AM these days for anything beyond old Gospel music and Rush Limbaugh. Not only that but if he's scared of them then it's his own damned fault for kicking them off 98.1.

Gordy needs to go. He ruined my only reason not to listen to XM Radio. frick that punk.

When asked why that big pause, he looked down at his hands and said, I dunno, I was just born with them.
Thank you GMT.

During my evening drive home Markley and VanCamp's show has kept enough of my attention that I don't focus overmuch on the fricktasticness of Baton Rouge traffic. It was a little bit of current topics but mixed in with humor and other conversations.
Spot on!
There is ZERO reason to have this station on my dial any longer.

like Clarence Buggs
His brother, Ed Buggs came to speak at a treatment center I was in about 15 years ago. He had a very powerful story. Unfortunately, he fell off the wagon and died of his addiction. It is a painful reminder that our condition will lead some of to jails, institutions, or death.
I won't get into the 'disease' debate, but that guy was very talented and rose to the top of the local news scene very quick, not easy to do for a black man at that time. Sad to see he lost it all, including his life eventually.

For those... who didn't care... for Clarence's delivery... How is the new lunch show any better? With all of the lip smacking and heavy breathing into the microphone I swear this guy must be a close relative of Scott Innes. Today was my first and last time tuning in at that time slot, at least Clarence was local and had good conversations.
As far as the morning show, I like Brian but it seems like he is struggling to carry the show solo. Hopefully they find someone to compliment him, if they lose a local show in that slot as well I'll have to find a new preset.
