Models have been all over the place over the past few days, showing one extreme to another. However, they have trended back to having more moisture to work with over southern Louisiana all day today. Therefore, I'm throwing my first ever Offical TDsngumbo Tigerdroppings Precision Forecast out here:

Tuesday: Cold. Maybe icy. Maybe rainy. Maybe windy and cold. Expect clearing late but only after possibly rain or possible snow. Or ice.
Tuesday Night: Put an extra blanket over yo arse. It gon be cold.

Chicken Tenders wants a new thread instead of recycling the old thread. I wasn't really trying to recycle the old one, per se. Someone posted in it, I noticed it on the first page, so I figured "what the hell, I'll update it since there's some pretty significant cold and a slight potential of snow in the BR area next week". Then I got fussed at. Apologies to my poultry pal.

Next week is going to be pretty cold but not quite as cold as New Years week was. Highs in the upper 30's-lower 40's and lows in the upper teens - lower 20's cold.

There's even a slight possibility of a dusting of the white stuff in the BR area Wednesday morning, as evidenced by the EURO model.

ETA: "Slight chance" of snow has now been upped to "40% chance of snow showers" Tuesday night.

Temperature in Birmingham this morning when I brought my kid to preschool was 61.

Supposed to be around 32 by this early evening.

That's pretty big blast of cold coming in. It's windy as hell here.

I think sometime next week we'll have a high of 32 with a low in the low 10s. I don't live in the South for this shite!

I for one, do NOT appreciate your flippant attitude and vapid shallow apology/explanation for your actions. I would suggest you lie low for a few weeks before you feel a little 'high pressure'...

forewarned...

Same here. It was crazy when I brought my little one to school earlier.

That storm that blew through real quick around 8-9pm last night was no joke.

I'm in for a really windy drive to New Orleans from BR this afternoon, aren't I?

I live in Arcadia, LA

Last night, on the way home, it was 63 degrees.

This morning when I woke up it was 25 degrees and there was a half inch of ice on my front deck and car. Had to chip the car door open.

Same - the large snow dump was a fun novelty for about an hour or two. It was a total mess while it melted.

I tried bumping the bayoubenglas88 thread that was originally intended to be the winter long thread. But I guess we've actually had enough real events this winter to warrant their own threads...

Will be interesting to see what happens with the next Euro re: Tuesday. Last night's Euro run got colder and wetter. And it looks like the GFS is trending that way too.
