WTForecast doesn't call for snow but says it's chilly and "mother nature can go eat a bag of smashed buttholes."

Confirm that snow fell in St Mary Parish. We were outside changing a hydraulic hose during the whole thing. I confidently estimate around 0.005" of accumulation.

Zapps did those a while back, weren't as bad as I thought they'd be.

I was just in the kitchen looking for Zapps, too.

Went to sleep early when the radar started to pop but the dew point was still hanging in the teens. Georgia coast getting in on some snow now.

Probably looking at our coldest night thus far tonight. Clearing out. Dried up a little and wind should die down into the evening. Thinking we'll push teens in BR.

At least its moving quickly and won't be a repeat of the Jan '96 blizzard that brought 30+" to the Appalachians and Allegheny mountains.

Sitting on 950 mb now, which is a pressure associated with major hurricanes. Deep cold on one side, gulf stream on the other. Big energy.

Same. Over a freaking foot of snow so far and no end in sight. The wind is nuts.

This is from a few hours ago:

This snow is unreal, I've been in awe all day. We're about to walk down to Aeronaut and grab beers because apparently we are crazy insane people. Cabin fever is real.

This truly is the hardest snow I’ve seen since living here. Y’all be safe getting to Aeronaut! Great brewery. There’s a place near us called Loco that is amazing and open, but we said frick it and cooked a bolognese instead.

Just think, a little slower and a little farther west and there'd be places pushing 2'. Seeing a lot of reports of flooding on the coasts too. Very impressive system.

Bad part of a nor'easter is what follows. It sucks down a whole lot of frigid air and the snow makes nighttime cooling very efficient. Deep freeze is inbound.

Yeah even less than a mile from my house there is coastal flooding. Nuts.

Going to have to go shovel the car out tonight before the hard freeze gets here. Not looking forward to it.

It's one of my favorite breweries and we live that side of Porter Square so we said frick it

They had a big old snowball fight earlier in the day as part of their Snowpocalypse '18 event, but I wasn't quite motivated to venture out at noon. There's always fun stuff going on there.

I don't envy you. Last shoveling I had to do was in Colorado last year. It was -1 and of course the altitude. Couldn't go for more than a minute or two without feeling like I was going to pass out.
