Beware if you do grocery pickup with Walmart - credit card scam nationwide

About three weeks ago I noticed a $104 charge to my credit card at walmart.com that was never made. I called my credit card company to report it and they refunded the money then sent a new card to me. No problem, all is well now.
Fast forward to this weekend and I’m talking with my brother and he just casually mentions that he’s had some walmart.com fraud on his card. Walmart told him it’s a known issue nationwide right now. So now I go back and look again, this time I checked my checking account since we switched the app for our grocery orders to our debit card while we were waiting for the new credit card to arrive. Sure enough, I’ve got a few additional charges on my card from there that I did not make. I called them back and they tell me the same thing - big scam going on right now.
Now, they’re sending me a new debit card so we have switched over to our credit card while we await the arrival of the new debit card.
I just decided to check again and now we have ANOTHER charge to our new credit card from walmart.com that we did not make.
I’ve deleted al payment forms from the app and I’m now considering no longer using Walmart. What the frick? Do they not have any encryption in their app? It’s bullshite, I tell you, and wanted to pass it along to everyone. May want to check your accounts if you’re poor like me and shop at Walmart.

I mean how much more screwing do you need to make the switch?

Sounds like a breach in their network, rather than the app. Deleting it probably won't help.

Good! You thought you were going to get around the Walmart trash by picking up in the parking lot and they still stick it to you. That sucks - glad you got your money refunded.

Wait... You switched from a credit card to a debit card after you noticed fraud? Why give up the protections of a credit card for a debit card?
Also, I'm sure your credit card provider can give you a temp credit card number with an expiration for times like this. That way if someone happens to steal your info, they can't use the card info used in the app.

I beg to differ. OT ballers will never become a baller by shopping at fricking Rouses for everything every week. Like it or not, Walmart truly can seldom be beat price-wise.

My bank refunded the debit card fraud charges too. Didn’t even have to ask, they just did it.

Did you change your walmart password? This happened to me about a month ago

I had something weird last month too.
I got a notification on the app that my delivery had been shipped. I clicked on it and it said a set of folding chairs was being delivered somewhere in Baton Rouge (I don't live in Baton Rouge).
There was also a new credit card on the account that is not ours.
I called and they deleted the address and payment method and I changed the password to the account. I didn't bother cancelling the order because it wasn't me actually paying for it, but I still thought it was weird.

So you’re telling me I can buy some stuff from Walmart online, claim it’s part of their big, known fraud occurring, and I’ll get all my stuff for free? BRB

I guess I should be glad that every time that I've tried to use them, I couldn't get a delivery appointment for the entire week.
But since they don't tell you that none are available until you've spent an hour or more putting an order together, I'd almost rather get scammed.

shite we make good money and we shop once a week for our food basics there. Only thing we don’t get there are nicer cuts of meat and veggies.

Had somebody place an order for delivery to their house a couple weeks ago. Changed the password and scolded my wife for not checking the Walmart emails saying an order was placed.
But I have the guys name and address. What else can I mail him to “reward” him for stealing/using my shite?
