I think it’s supposed to be worse for BR tomorrow
We are in a flash flood warning, I don’t think there is any potential of flooding

Also, I'm going to have to start assuming any tropical system going toward Houston will flood some part of town.

I am supposed to be driving in to Lafayette from baton rouge around lunch time tomorrow for work. How bad do you guys think it'll be?

I dont understand why, what I assume are the higher cloud tops, are firing up in the Gulf south of the NOLA so far from the center of circulation.

Much higher risk of a wreck on the basin bridge.

Dang didn't realize Houston was getting some pretty good flooding again in areas.

Bout 30 miles north of BR and it's been bone dry here. Could use 10" of rain with no problems.

You have a lot of surface moisture being jammed into the same area. Sandwiched between a high pressure to the NE and the low pressure of Beta and with some instability in the column, you get an area of persistent convection. Upper pattern isn't showing a ton of divergence, but it's at least enough to keep on letting all that surface moisture lift.
I go back to waiting...

So when you say short break or season over or you talking about storms impacting like Texas & Louisiana or the whole season might be over?
