Wanted to get some advice on the best weighted vest for the money. Will use for dips and push ups. May use for some light running. Anyone use one?

Just use chains, a dip belt, or hold a dumbbell between your legs.

push ups

Put a plate on your back or bench press like a real man to overload the pectorals. Pushups are great for muscular endurance, but you can only gain so much strength from that particular movement.

If anything, engage in more demanding pushup variations which utilize different muscle stimuli rather than concerning yourself with adding additional resistance to the movement.

Load up a backpack or a draw string bag with some sand, or, better yet, engage in some hill sprints. That way, you are eliminating any potential lower back ailments but you are still demanding greater force generation from your leg muscles.

I been looking at the 5.11 tactec plate carrier that's on rouge.com. That's what they use in the Crossfit games at least

Go to the "Marine Standards" thread. Seems to be a lot of badasses in great shape commenting in there. They'll be able to help you out.

I have one from MDUSA that I got before they closed up shop. It has 30 individual 1kg weights that can be removed. Tried doing the lifting chains in a backpack instead but a vest is much more comfortable

Too pricey, their ruck plates are great though.
