Then if you were just garbage to her, why don't you better yourself, move on, and make her realize she fricked up? And then you can get an even better piece that you previously assumed was out of your league.
Focus on yourself and not what others think of you. Starting thinking that you deserve something better than being treated like garbage and eventually you'll start actually believing it. Unless this girl is a truly horrible person and you're a masochist, then you owe it to yourself to do better. And if she is horrible, time to make her feel inferior by becoming better.

I worried about this in college for a bit, then I noticed a buddy of mine who would literally go from girl to girl getting turned down all night. Eventually (at around closing time) he'd make one more swoop and be on his way. Sure, they weren't all lookers, but who cares?

Also think about this: a great salesman will only make 3 out of 10 deals. There are some barriers that are impossible for even them to overcome. Men and women are the same. Whether it be an unattractive nose, arrogance that they don't like, or wanting someone with a very particular personality trait that you can't fulfill. You will almost certainly get rejected more times in life than you will be accepted. It's just the nature of the beast. Get used to it, because that's not only how dating work, but also how the world works at large.
