The column headers are driver swing speed. I play between 106-109 on a standard driver swing so I look at 106 column for some general guidance and know I can swing easy or press it for the numbers on either side.

It's not perfect but it's a good guide. You'll have to work your 5 wood, hybrid, 3/4 iron region a bit...

Shot distance based on average swing speed I think is what he was asking.

Is this even worth trying to figure out?

Just go to any local club-fitter and hit on trackman for 30 minutes, and, yes.

Go to Edwin Watts and try a driver. They should be able to measure it for you

Hit my pitching wedge 160-163

I don't see why this is far fetched... I usually hit my PW on par 3's 150-160 out.

What's your altitude? Do you have exaggerated forward press? Is your miss a pull-hook? Do you play strong game-improvement irons?

I'm a strong swinger but hit a slight fade with minimal lag... If you press and align right your PW is a 9 iron, maybe more depending on the brand/model. A closed stance, forward press PW in Ping G30s turns into damn near an 8 iron.

I don't know either. And most people in this thread are at least a little bit familiar with my posting and should know that I don't give a shite about bragging about stupid shite like how far I hit my damn pitching wedge.

Someone says something that other posters can't or don't do and the insecure shite show starts. Say something about a pitching wedge and you get hit with, "bet you're rich and frick 10s and have a huge dick too."

If I wanted to brag, it wouldnt be about my fricking golf game.

When I started playing decades ago, it was with persimmon woods and forged irons. My handicap didn't start to improve significantly until I began to concentrate more on my short game. It doesn't help your confidence when you consistently hit 300 yard drives and consistently 3 putt for doubles.

My problem is irons from 100-150...because I hit my PW for every shot it that range. A 56 degree is the only other wedge I have and I'm not comfortable hitting hit outside of about 80 yards. So pretty much anything over that I'm just feeling out my PW and thats obviously a horrible strategy to have. I need to add a couple clubs that will give me something to hit between those distances. It'll take a while to be able to hit them because like I said, I'm just not good at taking full swings with them.

You don't hit a 46* PW 150

I had to quit playing 10 years ago because of back problems. Prior to that, I couldn't go at it 100%. That's when I began to concentrate on accuracy over distance. And as I wrote earlier devoting most of my practice time to the short game.

One of a few things is why:

- Your PW is lofted a club or two off the normal 46-47 degrees.
- You're leaving it 15 yards short.
- You played a downhill downwind hole with the pin in the front once and hit it hole high.
-You're lying.

Try a gap wedge that comes with a set. It has the bigger head like the irons but will have ~50ish degrees of loft.

That's fine. I hit my PW comfortably as hell from 155, and muscle up on it on anything up to around 160. I pull a 9 without thought at about 165. This is getting ridiculous. I know you and Chem could talk circles around me as far as lofts and ball flight and thing like that go. I'm not trying act like I know a ton about golf or brag about how far I hit short irons. But, saying that I don't hit my PW 150 is just completely inaccurate.

When I was 18 I hit a PW about 155. I was just wildly inaccurate. I hit my PW135 now and my scores are way lower (Im 26)

165 is high but its not insane. I know my brother hits his at least 155. hes just in the woods and shite a lot.

Also many clubs are jacked up loft wise now. So when people hit their irons they say OMG i hit these 10 yards father!! when really they are hitting a 9 iron loft that says PW on the bottom. Taylormade clubs are super jacked up
