I have 2 about the size of pinecones on my house up high where I will likely need a ladder to reach. Any suggestions on proper removal?

Call up Charlotte and tell them it's available.

That is silly. That could damage his home, Bosc.

Clearly the answer is have Darth Vader train the hornets to ride motorcycles, get involved in drugs or other risky lifestyle choices and then eventually the cops will show up and blaze them.

or.

Put the ladder up before dark and to the side of the nest so it is not above you, Wait until dark (scary movie from the 60's but that is an aside), then squirt them with hornet spray.

A ladder, wasp spray, and a pair of balls you pussy.

Or hornet spray. I've heard it both ways.

Are you sure? I thought that was "The best way to bathe hornets".

and really, it is not the nest that is the problem. It is the hornets.

Have your kids throw tennis balls at them and then run like hell.

Possible real suggestion: build a fire in a pit or large bucket with damp wood and smoke them out.

get wasp spray that shoots 20 to 25 ft. Works great at killing and from a long distance.
