The most reliable brand. Better than Toyota. Highly underrated. But they don’t look as good as a 4Runner

I have a 4runner. I heard the new Honda passports were nice too. Don't waste your money on Hyundai, Kia, or GMC. At some point you will likely have regrets.

She should get a Toyota Sienna or Honda Odyssey.

100% this. But I bet she thinks minivans are too lame. As if anyone is gonna be impressed with a Highlander Mid sized SUVs are the dullest vehicles on the road

She'd love a 4Runner but we're not OT ballers. She will keep this vehicle 10+ yrs, so something reliable..

4 Runners are reliable tanks. This is the only answer and you will not mind driving it although it checks the "chick car" box

We’ve got a Telluride, which I pushed hard for, but at 40k miles I feel like they’re built flimsy and maybe the Koreans have socially hacked the algorithm to make us think they are the best SUVs.

I’m currently battling them over rental car fees for our last warranty service. When they tell you it’s a recorded line, you should also record the call since their recording will magically be unavailable when it’s not in their favor.

Do the 2025 4Runners have the new engine everybody is bitching about?

I’ve had 2 different 4Runners I’ve loved which were bulletproof, but I heard the “improved” new engine is crap.

I hate that they would ruin such a proven platform…

Yeah the new ones are junk. But you can still get a 2024 one at dealerships. Time is running out though. They will only be more expensive if you wait. I have a 2023

GMC I agree. Hell any of the big 3 produce junk. There’s no reliability between those. I have a 2014 Sierra, has 196kmi replaced transmission at 120k and misfires from the beginning burnt up one of my cats, but I’m not buying a new vehicle. Cheaper for me to continue repairing this one

The new 2026 Honda Passports are supposed to be available in early 2025. They are redesigned with some nice improvements and are more off road capable than before. There are lots of YouTube videos that show the 3 versions in the showroom and other videos showing it going off road.

OMG….is this joke? Ferd is absolute worst choice. GM products as well. Try to find certified Highlander Or I’d recommend looking for good preowned Lexus GX (2015-2023) with v8. Super reliable, comfortable with touch of luxury

Looks like a blob of a vehicle, very uninspired design with FJ elements.

I got a 2024 recently. You will have a pretty tough time finding one right now, and it will only be in the premium packages and with a “dealer fee” tacked on. You won’t find a 2024 for under $60k right now

ETA: I also had to travel 2 states over to get it. Couldn’t find any in Texas, La or Mississippi

Have a 2022.

We tried a 2020 highlander. It was nice and still had the v6 naturally aspirated.

Just too small.

Odyssey is great. Paid 32k for an used EX-L with ceramic tint. 28 mpgs on the highway.
