We saw Dr. Culotta earlier this week. He's awesome!

Our 7 month old rolled off the changing table and fractured her tibia. He was in the hospital all day doing surgery but had the ER set up a room for us and we met him there to cast her in between surgeries. He had excellent bedside manner as well.

Being a parent is the worst sometimes. Crazy the stuff that kids will do.

Culotta probably isn't a bad choice, but the best around is Gonzales at Children's in New Orleans. To my knowledge he is the only pediatric orthopedic surgeon in the state whose primary focus is sports medicine.

You really think a 2 1/2 year old needs a sports med doc?

Thread title brings back fond memories of Buddy D's famous
"lee nigaments" malaprops.

Can u tell us more about what happened. I've never heard of a child that young getting a ligamentous knee injury unless he has a tibial spine avulsion or other fracture to go a long with it which if nondisplaced wouldn't need surgery anyways. I guess either way I would try to see a doc who who does peds and sports

Good call to see Culotta. Great doctor and if he thinks you are better off going to someone else, he will tell you.
