Looking for places that are good spots to go fishing in throughout Louisiana. Type of fish you can catch at different spots, time of the year as well as bait used. Thanks everyone.

So much information. I would RA to get this moved to the Outdoor board. It's all we talk about this time of year.

My dad is obsessed with Toledo bend, goes every weekend, fishes in damn near every tournament and is looking at buying land on the river to hunt/fish when he retires. Ive been a few time but don't get the hype.

I loved when we were on the intercoastal in houma.
short trip to dularge and then the gulf not too far either.

would rather salt water/brackish over fresh any day

If that's what you think one is supposed to look like, you might want to get that checked out.

We went on a "guided" trip last weekend in toledo and the guide told us about how he pulled a gun on a guy who was fishing one of his brush piles.

people take that shite way to serious

In the gulf its a little different but in a lake people with radars have every right to stop and fish where they see something

They have a secret pond in the back of St Martinville. You pay $5 and catch all the fish you want.

I am not sure you know what a radar is.

Mostly but not totally irrelevant -- I saw this on Reddit, titled "Where the Mississippi meets the Gulf":

You need help,

Toledo bend... buying land
I'm eyeing Hemphill Texas Area, a half hour from Rayburn and Toledo Bend, within a couple hours of Lake Caddo, Lake Fork and Red River. Also not too far from the coast for a day trip and surrounded by National Forest for hunting.
