Very pretty city and seemingly exploding with development. However, it appears the local, older Vancouver residents aren't exactly thrilled with the boom. I visited a few years back and the driver from the airport to our hotel was an older gentleman proudly giving a bit of a de facto tour on the drive in. As we got closer to downtown he said "and to your right is (insert some older historic building)." "And to your left is Hong Kong" (describing all of the new glass skyscrapers)

yeah, that’s the nature of Canada. It’s so cold most of the year that cities are more vertical than spread out. There is nothing in between most cities

Brisbane has a fantastic skyline, which has a great view from the water-taxi.

It helps that Canada has gorgeous scenery around it and is a very clean place.

The air up there is so clean it’s mind blowing
