Pretentious, yeah, but there’s a lot of money in uptown and highland park is right there.

There is money in Uptown, but it is overshadowed by legit $30K millionaires. The stigma of Uptown is warranted.

Those aren’t $30k millionaires with maxed out credit cards though. Their parents still pay the rent, car note, and credit card bills in most cases.

A $30k millionaire is someone trying to live large and keep up with the joneses on their own dime or lack thereof.

We built here for a reason. It’s a great place to raise a family. There are just some very real growing pains.

My parents downsized out of frisco and moved north of 380 in mckinney. That area is about to blow up as well. Neighborhoods going in everywhere.

The next boom is east of Rockwall. I30 is already being widened just past the city and fate, caddo mills, and royse city are building subdivisions like crazy. The Walmart in royse city is a beast. Always packed.

You could argue the opposite.

An average Joe can move to Cleveland or Detroit and buy a fricking mansion for dirt cheap. Of course, Joe may not live long with the crime rates over there.

In all seriousness, somebody should buy cheap real estate in downtown Detroit and places like that. Sit on it while it gentrifies, and profit when it’s time to sell to some SJW wanting to built his own microbrew.

Agreed

I'm not saying she's not partially correct. But I've been in the area for 3 years, and there hasn't been any noticeable difference in the things she mentioned from my perspective.

But seriously, I'm just a legit Legacy Shops snob. That place has everything I need in one spot.

Once you have gone east oast Caddo Mills it becomes more of an east Texas feel, which, quite honestly, isn’t as desirable as a northern DFW suburb feel.

Don't act like that place isn't awesome!!!

My wife calls me a Frisco snob all the time as I prefer to stay in my little bubble around here.

I know, I worked in and east of caddo mills for 2 years. Fate and royse city are west of caddo mills though. Royse city will be considered more of a Dallas suburb within 5 or so years.

I don’t have to act. The best place there is just another location of an awesome uptown bar.
