Austin market is flattening out. It's all the surrounding places people can afford that are still exploding.

How you mean, flattening out? Rents in Austin are still very high.

Real estate values are slowing within city limits. That doesn't mean things aren't "high", in fact, that's exactly why they are slowing. You are likely to make a better return in a place like Kyle now than Austin as normal working folk are getting pushed outside city limits.

I'm not talking out my arse, every number about the Austin city limits/ suburbs will support that.

We stayed with some friends in Flower Mound last weekend for the game and it has to be the cleanest town I’ve ever visited.

It’s kinda cookie cutter but I see the appeal of that area.

I have a friend that lives in Miami and he said a while back that the real estate market was out of control there.

I have no idea the truth behind all that but he must have been on to something with that from the looks of it

I would move to Rockwall if traffic on 30W wasn’t a complete time vampire.

My boss works there and it takes him an hour to get from home to work (Garland/Rowlett) every morning.

I live in Addison and it takes 15 minutes for me to get there

Nothing like living with a bunch of pretentious, $30k millionaires with maxed out credit cards!

i hear it's the ones that live in Dallas that have the reputation as 30k millionaires. most in Plano and Frisco have made it and are living in the burbs.

most attractive real-estate markets in the U.S.

It depends on what your definition of attractive is.

Seattle comes in at #8 but...

quote:

Seattle’s median house price of $805,000 was down $27,000 from the record highs reached a couple of months prior

quote:

Prices on the Eastside fell $30,000 in one month, to $947,000.

That is not quite my idea of attractive.....
