Being that single dad that goes to all his kids' shite is extremely attractive to the mamas.

Women give advice from the perspective of what they think they want, not what they actually want. The average girl advice is stupid shite like "ask her to coffee or lunch", "get to know her and then ask on a date, etc."

well what does work. I would have better success if I had a wingman. One thing that works if you have a popular friend who can introduce you to girls. Places like bulldog, ivars, freds, are so cliquey.
