Looking to find a couple of living pieces that are nice, but won't require a second mortgage. TIA

I don't know if that exists. Furniture is hella expensive, especially fornanytgibg that looks nice. That place on highland is pretty good for rustic lookong stuff though...Discoveries. Also check out Christian Street. The other nice furniture stores I would look at are Town and Country and Gerard's.

Try thrift store type places. Variety shop in the highland and old Jefferson shopping center has some nice things. We got an old church pew for like 80 bucks there.
There is also the antique store around florida. Has a little sandwich place in it. Can't think of the name though.

My wife and I restore and build rustic - vintage - antique furniture. We have a spot at The Rusty Rooster in Denham. Check out their FB page and see if that's the kind of stuff you are looking for. If you want to do it yourself, check thrift shops and CL for pieces to restore.

Katy Furniture in Gonzales, right off Burnside.
Tim is a great guy to deal with and he is very fair with his ASKING (subtle hint) prices.
