Best place to buy firewood in slidell

Moved from nola to slidell this past year. Anyone have any tips which guy on the side of the road sells firewood at a good price?

there is a place across from the movie theater on 90. Not sure prices though

Drive to Bogalusa or Franklinton as this is their main source of employment up there this time of year. You can buy a cord for five bucks up that way thanks to all the competition.

You might want to try craigslist before buying any. Frequently, there are people on there trying to give it away just to get it hauled off and out of their way.
Quick check on craigslist New Orleans area showed this on first page:
Free firewood
A more tailored search produced: More free firewood

That is old dried pallet wood and will pop while burning like fireworks, shooting embers in every direction. Not good.
Craigslist does have a bunch of guys selling it close to the OP though.

There is a place across from the movie theater. Good wood and good prices. That is your best bet unless you want to got to pearl river.

Bought some for my mother there the other day. It is $170 for a half cord of wood. Not sure if that is a good price. It's the wood mom wanted so it was the wood mom got.
