Mp10 with silencer. That way the thugs don't get riled up by the sound of gunshots while they get riddled with holes.

I’d rather loud AF with fire shooting out of the end.

Are you familiar with guns? I thinks it a little late to start worrying now. Better of just accepting your white privilege and giving up

As usual, there are bunch of fricking idiots in here that don't know what the frick they are talking about.

Best gun for personal defense is a high capacity semi auto handgun. If you are not concealing it get a full size, you can get 9mm guns that hold 18-20 rounds with one in the chamber from many good manufactures. I would stick with 9mm, modern ammunition is very effective, there is little recoil which make follow up shots more effective and you can carry more rounds per magazine vs other effective rounds. That being said, your handgun is to get you to your rifle. I would have a quality AR15 or quality AK47 at minimum. I like AK's better, but AR's work better for some people. It is better to have one or two high quality factory AR15's than have a couple of shite tier slapped together guns. Get something good, Colt, LMT, FN, SOLGW.

The answer is AR-15, with multiple loaded mags.

Shotguns are good.

Handguns are better than nothing, but barely better than a pellet gun. There are numerous videos out there that show people being shot by 9MMs and continuing to charge.

Not me. Buckshot gives you a very good chance of an instant stop with a center of mass hit at in the house range. No handgun gives you that. My house also has some very long sightlines that are conducive to a long gun. Flite control buckshot extends your effective range out to 40-50 yards as well, where that used to be difficult to get with a shotgun.

Theres no doubt that facing off a whole crowd of people trying to kill everyone in your house requires a high capacity rifle. I just chose to think that I am most likely to engage 4 legged threats in my yard than two legged in my house, and if it is two legged I'll be able to stop it with 10 or less rounds of buckshot. I'll take my chance that 50 attackers at once will never happen, and hopefully never even 1.

If you gotta hold off 50+ determined bad guys, good luck. Itd be hard to do with anything short of an m249

I disagree. You'll be hard pressed to find anyone with combat experience who feels a shotgun is a better home defense choice than an AR. A shotgun may be a better multi-purpose tool but if we are talking strictly defense, the rifle wins easily. Lower recoil, higher capacity, shorter overall length, better range, generally better accuracy, the list goes on.

I personally use a shotgun, but it has more than one job.

Every home should have a 12 gauge pump action shotgun, a semiautomatic handgun, 9mm, .40 or .45 caliber, and a rifle, preferably something .300 or greater.

I’m just having fun if people want serious gun advice they should visit the OB. Kind of funny you complain about bad advice then turn around and give him bad advice

Ar-15 w/ 30 round mags plus a Glock 19 as backup in case you need to take on threats in between reloading.

You obviously haven't shot it.

I laughed when my buddy bought one at a pawn shop.

Then he's put over 800 rounds without an issue.

Hardly any recoil. I shot it. At 45 yards we were grouping inside a few inches.

I'm sold and have looked for one since.
