Haven’t had a shake from there yet but Andy’s Frozen Custard has really solid ice cream. Also not exactly a chain but Buds Broiler shakes are awesome

I had the exact same experience with Freddie’s...I liked their style of burger and shakes were great but stopped going for same reasons as yours with atomic......

Most typical fast food places are pretty much all trash these days. I'd say arby's jamocha shake and a old dashing Wendy's frosted would be the best out of those choices.
