Have you tried the "fitted" versions?

I didn't know they sold those. I haven't tried to buy RT&Y in years.

I only own one. I bought it 7 or 8 years ago and still never have to iron the thing.

If you are in BR, I get my shirts from Martinez. A tailored shirt is the only way to go imo

Charles Tyrwhitt and Ledbury are the only dress shirts I generally wear. I've had a couple of shirts made for me and they are nice, but when factoring in price, style and quality, I generally stick with Charles Tyrwhitt and Ledbury, with a slight nod to Charles Tyrwhit.

For decently priced everyday business wear:

1) Brooks Brothers
2) Gold Label Roundtree and Yorke (Dillards)
3) Eagle

I wear all of these brands. BB is great quality, both with button downs and polos. Gold Label and Eagle are always on sale in Macy's/Dillards. In fact, I picked up a few button downs three weeks back during Dillards' sale. I got four shirts for roughly $100 since they were in a hard sale to make room for new inventory. The rep said they'll do another big shirt/tie sale in June.

I bought 4 1818 or whatever brooks brothers dress shirts last July and within 6 months all 4 split at the elbow. Anyone else had this problem?

those the cheaper ones from the outlet mall? Not the same quality as the BB store (thinner). But no, I have not had that issue. I have both kinds.

CT, yes. I don't think Ledbury does.

I don't. I wash my shirts on the delicate cycle and air dry.

I buy a lot of stuff from Paul Fredrick. I like shopping from home though.

They do make a slim fit. My SO has a 33 waist and wears a 42 coat. They fit him great and wear very well. They are his favorite and he's worn a lot of dress shirts over the years.

What's your price point?

If you're looking for the best, the best American shirtmaker is probably Hamilton. British, I tend to favor Turnbull & Asser. Charvet also makes some very nice shirting.

I bought them at the store on Michigan Ave. It was on the left sleeve on all 4 shirts. It must be something I do, but I've had some JosABank shirts for 2+ years with no problems. I prefer the look and fit of BB, but they are expensive for 6 months of wear. I'll admit I've still worn them under sweaters through the winter.

Buy 5 premium quality off the rack shirts in your size with a fit that you like, then get them tailored. You get your suits tailored, why not your shirts?

I like my Robert Graham dress shirts. I think they are well made and the slim fit is nice.

LOL at all the boys wanting Frat Star brand off the rack dress shirts.

Be a grown up baller and get some custom fitted dress shirts like Gitman Bros.
