We got a Golden Doodle--our family always had cocker/springer spaniels but this dog is amazing-no shedding hypoallergenic-dogs huge but well behaved very protective of kids-I honestly think this may be the best breed.

Fiancé has a golden doodle that's 75% poodle, 25% golden, and I have to say it's one of the most well behaved dogs I've ever had. When she decided to get her I wasn't too pumped, I wasn't a big fan of the designer dogs. She's proven me wrong. Would for sure get another one.

F1B
A first generation crossback is known as an F1B, and is a first generation F1 Goldendoodle, Irish Doodle or Bernedoodle that is bred back to a Standard Poodle. The F1B in Doodles is always bred back to the Poodle, not the other parent dog. This is done to achieve more of the desireable Poodle characteristics of non-shedding, intelligence and hypoallergenic. However, you will also get more of the physical characteristics of the Poodle as well.

Yep. Personality traits of a Labrador, and they don't shed.

I own a catahoula. Great dog, extremely loyal, hell of a watch dog, affectionate when he wants to be but than leaves you alone also. If you really want one of these be prepare to get your exercise. You have to walk, hike, or run with is breed every single day. This breed of dog needs a job.

German Shorthaired Pointer and it's not even really up for debate.

While I agree GSPs would be in the top tier, I don't really see how you could not include Curs in that mix, especially a BMC. I'd say GSPs are a bit smarter on average, that the Cur makes up for in extremely high pain tolerance, stamina, and grittiness. Both are low maintenance with very short hair and are versatile in what they can do. I'd put ridgebacks as a 1c. but of the 5 I've been around they've all had a strange temperament about them I can't explsin. All were raised and trained properly, submissive to their owner, etc. May just be a fluke.

We have a GSD mix that is the smartest and sweetest dog I've ever had. But damn that thing sheds like a mofo.

Oh, and Bulgarian Weaslehound FTW.

Basically a $2000 designer mongrel that's not recognized by any dog associations.

Basset Hound. No matter how bad you feel, the dog always looks like he feels worse.
