I'll add my 2¢ here.

quote:

Want to know how I did according to the master Food:
The Garden Grill
Chef Mickey's
Be Our Guest
Hollywood and Vine-Fantasmic seats tie in
Ohana

I have only been to Ohana and Be Our Guest out of these, but I LOVE Ohana. Be Our Guest failed to meet my expectations for lunch. I hear that the Garden Grill is good and that the restaurant is rotating again, so that's a cool feature.

quote:

FP+
Test track
Spaceship Earth
Maelstrom

Good on Test Track. If you're there in the morning, Spaceship Earth is usually a walk-on or 5-10 minute wait, I would look into using the FP+ on something else. I love Maelstrom, but it's short and may seem like a waste of a FP+ to some.
quote:

Big Thunder
Tomorrow land Speedway
7 dwarfs mine train

2 good choices in Big Thunder and the Mine Train. I think with all of the attractions in the MK, there are much better choices than the speedway....Jungle Cruise? Pirates? Haunted Mansion?
quote:

Everest River
rapids
Safari

Good choices here. Not much else worth a FP+ reservation in Animal Kingdom other than Dinosaur
quote:

Rockin roller coaster
Tower of Terror/Indy split wife/me
Star Tours

RnRC and Star Tours are good, so is ToT. The Indy stuntshow theater is so massive that using a FP+ for it is a waste.
quote:

Space Mountain
Splash Mountian
Meet Anna and Elsa

Good choices on the mountains .....and if you're dead set on meeting Anna and Elsa, that's the way to do it.

Only reason for speedway is we didn't do it last time and the girls REALLY want to do it. Last time it was a 90 minute wait. I wish you could use FP+ for more in Epcot. They limit the rides in tiers. Really not much to use them on. Indy was just because my brave daughter wanted to ride Tower of Terror so my wife and scared daughter wanted somewhere to go. I might look to change those two.

I already have my bracelets. Can I change now?

Can you not use FP on Toy Story Midway Mania? That was the best ride at Disney Studios and I haven't seen it mentioned.

You can but it's top tier. I chose rocking roller coaster instead with plans to go to Toy Story first thing in the morning.

That's young, but if girls they may like bipity bopity boutique or pirate adventure if boys. You are basically just looking at some kitty rides, and LOTS of character meets. They will like the new interaction walk through with Belle.

Our girls loved the actual experience of Bippity Boopity Boutique, but HATED everyone looking at them when walking around after. Wanted it off an hour later. $500+ down the drain. They were 6 at the time.

That makes sense, I figured there was a reason behind that choice.

Yep. I was.a FP+ changing machine in January. I'd have an attraction picked out and when we got to it, I would gauge the standby line length and decide if I wanted to use the FP+ or change it to something else. That's the biggest perk of the system in my eyes.

My son was about 19 months when we went during Mardi Gras. His favorite things involved any type of transportation.

This included Kilimanjaro Safari, Rafiki's Plaet Watch Train, It's a Small World, Peter Pan, Train around Magic Kingdom. He also loved all the parades.

His favorites were the monorail, the ferry boat to magic kingdom, and the shuttle bus. No lines for those!

Wow. Things have changed since I last went in 2008. I want to take my 4 yr old twins. I'm jealous of everyone getting to go soon.
Have fun!

Well, yeah. Some.

That's a great age to bring them for the first time. My son will be 14 months when we go in January. But we're not going for him and we have parents and grandparents to help watch him.

WHAT?!?! It's a quick service. Some other quick services in that area are Pecos Bill's, Casey's Corndogs, Tortuga Tavern, That Gross arse Seafood Place by Haunted Mansion, or Pinochio's Place. Be Our Guest is the best quick service meal in the Disney Parks/Hotels, and it's not even close. They bring your food to you, bus it for you after, and the food is good as well. Is it California Grill? No. But for what it's designed for, it's light years beyond any other restaurant, no offense to Cosmic Ray's.

It's designed to feed a huge amount of people as efficiently as possible which means it often has to sacrifice decent food and good variety. You go for the experience, not the meal. I've been once and don't feel a need to go back. But, alas, I'm going with a group most of whom have yet to go. At least they'll know what to expect.

so is a good strategy to be in the parks with late extra magic hours in the morning?? do people figure they can hit these up in the second part of the day

also is the Halloween party worth it, we will be there in sept. so something Halloween themed seems a bit strange (and worried about a 4 year old staying up till midnight)
