Suppose you know some Bama fans who are actually good people.

Use your imagination. I know it is farfetched.

What bars/ restaurants would you recommend to them when they come in for the game in a couple of weeks?

Many bama fans will probably like this place downtown.

Anything north of Florida Blvd or off plank road will be a good bet.

Pretty strong list except for

Chimes -- I have philosphical objections to its gumbo.

Pinettas -- Still bad after all these years.

Personal favorite of mine. Their Sack Full special is a favorite of the locals. Really delivers.

Chimes Duck & Andouille gumbo is arguably the best restaurant regular menu gumbo in town, and the blackened alligator app is one of my favorite dishes anywhere.

Pinetta’s has the GOAT red sauce.
