re: Best area/neighborhoods/zip codes in BR

Old Goodwood makes me feel very safe. There is always someone jogging, or walking their dog. It is a very active neighborhood mixed with young couples a few older ones and families. The houses are affordable and with the surge in making government st. a thing again I am hoping the property values keep going up.

IMO, now is the time to buy in Kenilworth. Lots of young families are moving in and renovating homes. I've seen a huge difference since we moved here about 10 years ago. Just on my block at least 4 homes have already been renovated. One is in progress and 2 more (including mine) are in the planning stages. There are quite a few more renovations going on further down my street and in my general area.

We have close proximity to the pool, sidewalks, and easy in and out to either Perkins or Highland Road. I do think it's the most affordable neighborhood (for what you get) that's in this area.

We looked in Pollard but the home we liked was crazy expensive for the amount of work that needed to be done to it. Same for a house we considered in Magnolia Woods. They are both great neighborhoods, though.

The only other places I've lived in BR are Southdowns (LOVE) and on Perkins Road near the overpass. I'd recommend both of them too.

You can get a lot of house on a nice, tree-shaded, lot for a decent price. Several young folks from my wife's office have bought out there.

I live in 70810. This part of town is exploding with expansion. Soon to be even more new nice neighborhoods and great bike riding and green spaces. If you're looking for a big yard though, this isn't it. I don't know of any kids that play in big yards these days. They seem to be stuck inside on the phone or computer. New developments coming up close to the new casino ie Pointe Marie, Atwater, The Preserve at Harveston, The Lakes at Harveston just to name a few.

Like someone said earlier, easy access to lots of places, often avoiding the interstate altogether.
