I'm assuming you don't go to LSU football games then.
I went to a few when I was a student, but haven’t been to one since. Over twenty years.

Best: Every Tool concert. The sound and the visuals are excellent.
Slipknot, their energy is insane.
Aaron Lewis is good if you're looking for something more mellow.
Worst: I went to Bayou Country Music Fest with this girl I was seeing. Jason Aldean and FGL are even worse live. Sitting through that trash wasn't worth the sex.

Worst: Van Hagar in Providence, RI. Sound was terrible.

Best: Rolling Stones, NOLA, 2019
Worst: Aerosmith, BR, 1978. Steven and Joe were so loaded they could hardly function, and the sound quality was horrible.

Best was REO Speedwagon playing in Thibodaux. Also excellent was Electric Light Orchestra who we saw in BR in the Cenroplex. Heart was very good, but I was pretty drunk. Best in a small venue was Saint Louis Sheiks.
Worst was Journey in New Orleans with the little asian guy in place of Steve Perry. The guitarist must have been in charge because he kept doing these very long solos which were pretty bad.
Some I don't remember much because they were so long ago (and for other reasons): Alice Cooper, Rush, Ted Nugent. Saw Rick James at the state fairgrounds once, but my main memory of it was that my friend and I were 2 of only a handful of white people there. No incidents, but it was definitely a different feeling.

Best: David Gilmour at the Hollywood Bowl. No opening act, he played for three hours with intermission. First half ended with High Hopes, second half ended with Comfortably Numb. Transcendent.
Worst: A concert of Steve Reich's piece "Three Tales". There are three sections, one on the Hindenberg, one about the Bikini Atoll testing and one on Dolly the cloned sheep (yep...). The ensemble and conductor played their butts off but the music... ugh. If it had been 10 to 15 minutes long, it would have been moderately interesting. At 70 minutes long, I would have preferred water boarding. I was begging for it to end at 45 minutes. It is the ONLY concert I have ever been to where some members of the audience booed (not me). Most gave a standing ovation (I have no idea why) but a few booed. And Steve Reich was there and went onstage to accept the applause (and boos).

THIS! The River Tour. I’ve seen Springsteen at several venues including at the BB&T Center for the 35th anniversary of the River tour a few years ago and in the Orange Bowl for the Born in the USA tour in 1985. But nothing I’ve ever seen was better than a 31 year old Boss playing for 4.5 hours with a short intermission at the PMAC.
That was it! The River tour. 4.5 Unreal hours.

ancient Greek ampitheater in Taormina, Sicily IT.
I've been to that place and thought it would be a great place for a concert.

quote:I saw them in Tunica like 5 years ago and had amazing seats for like 30 bucks. Probably the most fun I’ve ever had going to a concert. Saw John Mayer in like 06 and that was a different kind of awesome. Worst concert I’ve been to was probably the Foo Fighters. I don’t like the Foo Fighters so I don’t know what I expected.
Huey Lewis and the News 12 or so years ago

Seen this guy mentioned twice now. What's a James Taylor show like? Very boring. No energy.

Earth Wind and Fire and Stevie Wonder on the same show was the best. One lesser known artist who gives a great show is Raphael Saadiq.
Lauren Hill, Lil Wayne and Shawn Carter are horrible.

One of the best I've seen was Willie Nelson, around 1980.....he was outstanding!!!
The worst…..Willie Nelson at HOB in NOLA, about 6 years ago.
the guy was tired and worn out......and I love me some Willie. It was sad to see him so used up.
