Its bleeding in the space between your brain and the surrounding membrane (subarachnoid space). The primary symptom is a sudden, severe headache. The headache is sometimes associated with nausea, vomiting and a brief loss of consciousness.
Bleeding usually results from the rupture of an aneurysm or trauma.
Untreated, a subarachnoid hemorrhage can lead to permanent brain damage or death.

quote:brother, I’m 50 years old. I’ve broken bones, fell out of the back of a truck on to my face doing 60, been in the burn ward, fell from heights of 30’+, I’ve seen bone sticking through my skin, I’ve got two pieces of gravel that are forever imbedded under my skin, had my nose broken on a few occasions, taken a bat to the back of the head and a gulf club to my eyebrow (not on a course) and been married to my current wife for 27 years.
m kind of surprised that you started a thread like and then make your self sound like such a puss. Maybe adventure outside.
Believe me, I know pain.

fricking abscessed tooth or a dry socket after a root canal. I had both and I can only take plain old Tylenol as a pain reliever so I had to tough it out until those wonderful Novocain shots took affect.

Appendicitis so swollen its pushing on your liver and you can barely breath, it was worst than being kicked in the nuts.

My appendix was ruptured for 2.5 weeks before I was operated on and spent around 100 days in the hospital and several weeks in the ICU.
Also had fluid in the lungs and a chest tube and drains sticking out of my stomach for months. That's why a tooth wasn't my worst pain.

Deep 2nd borderline 3rd degree burns on 75% of my body.
Dr said he had good news and bad. Good news was I wouldn't lose feeling permanently, bad news was I wouldn't lose feeling permanently.

Describe kidney stones. Is it a constant pain or just, like razor blade when you pass them?

Dentist told me I’d have to have it pulled but needed a week on antibiotics first. Gave me 7 lortabs. One night friends came over and I begged them with tears in my eyes to shoot me because the pain was so bad. It was horrid.
I channeled some of it into a power ballad about the guy who built the Killdozer in Colorado years back because I had to have some outlet to pour that abject misery into.
Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy
Please release this panty dropper brother

And apparently too stupid not to know what causes pain. Next time, duck, side step, or move.

Being fisted in the arse by that satanic chick that the priest was banging looks pretty painful.

4 ibuprofen every 6-8 hours or so for a day helped my tooth pain more than anything. It's the same dose as prescription strength ibuprofen.
