How did Cancun make out? We have a week long trip beginning on the 17th of July.
Landfall was well below Cancun and just below Cozumel, so they didn't get the full brunt of the storm.
As for conditions on the ground there I have no idea.

We got hammered in Oak Forest but there's still enough trees to do some damage. I'm just glad i got my generator installed.

If only you knew how valuable a TD Premium subscription truly is. You're gonna have to up that weak post count significantly if you ever want to be considered.

More or less the same area. That storm was wild.
The nearly dead water oaks are an issue for the 1960/70s neighbors around town. Tall pines too.
This was after the derecho curious to see if north loop does better in a hurricane from getting cleared out.

Yeah it sucked. 5 days without power, 3 weeks without internet.

Hard to say which is worse

Beryl is holding together pretty well over the Yucatan. This isn't how a tropical storm usually looks. TSs are usually disorganized messes. Less time needed to re-organize is more time to strengthen over the Gulf.

Being without power is way worse… but I’m not dependent on the internet….

Looks like a very northern wobble.

For sure, we have years of research on here. We are practically meteorologists ourselves.

Yes it does. I wonder with it slowing speed and being very resilient could this thing get back to a 100 mph storm before landfall.
