This video is dripping with so much melodrama. It’s great that someone has finally taken steps to remove Teedy, but videos like this make me question their motives.
Motives don't matter here. Getting her out does. If (big if) this works, anyone in office will be at risk of being outed. It might even lead a bad candidate to good places in office. If it doesn't work, but there is a sizable representation, maybe there will be some changes. I don't see a downside.
I wish people would sign and not give up because they don't believe it will work.

there will be very little difficulty is gathering several thousand signatures in early September. The news will report on it and it will gather steam enough for Cantrell to have to respond. She will triple down on arrogance and dishonesty and then things will get spicy.
Cantrell is doing the one thing that will turn even the meekest and dumbest against her...disrespecting the city. It may be a morass of disfunction but it’s our morass

Carter likely for future political advancement, and JD Carrierre wants clicks and to make a name for himself as a journalist.
Nothing will probably come from this but you can’t really ask for more than for 3 black Citizens to be the ones to step up & attempt this.

Noonie Man is too mentally retarded to hold a job so he lives off the government. Legally disabled.
He filed the paperwork.

Who gives a frick what their motives are?
The objective is to put a spotlight on Teddy and put her in jail
They need about 300 VALID signatures per day on average and they say they are taking "a few weeks" to get organized.
This shite is dead in the water.

And now they fricked up any opportunity someone had of putting together a legitimate recall

Yea this recall prob gonna make things worse because it's gonna be teedy azz kicking szn once this effort fails.
Posted on 8/27/22 at 1:27 pm to JohnnyKilroy
I forget the timeline, but there can't be another recall effort for some period of time after this one fails.
Basically protects her until she can't be recalled again due to length of time left in office.

Yea this is a one shot.
And they fricked it up before they even started.
They needed to do all that organizing and shite on the front end. Filing the actual petition and starting the 180 day clock is something you probably do at or even after the "midway point" of a successful recall. It's NOT the starting point. They're fricked.

You are probably right. I guess what I’m curious to see is if this will have any effect on what she is doing. It would be easier to blow this off if it were white folks from Lakeview organizing the recall. She can’t pull out the race card on this one.

If anything it emboldens her when she doesn't get recalled.
It's like winning another election during her term.

Meanwhile citizens are already putting things in place to become neighborhood drop off spots for the paperwork. They may be taking their sweet arse time but you can sign and submit that document next week

people can bitch and moan or they can be part of the solution. Every registered voter in Orleans parish is a potential signatory. If the citizens of New Orleans want this idiot out then the opportunity is now.
There is nothing stopping every resident reading this thread from printing off a few dozen copies and gathering signatures
Or is it that others should do the work and you just get to make comments about mistakes they are making?

I don't think anyone on this site isn't going to sign, but you have such a small sample size.
Just being real.
The JBE recall got less than 30k votes statewide. And the Latoya needs over 50K in New Orleans.

An infinitely better opportunity was a few months ago and Latoya blew everyone out.

This will be good entertainment though. Like watching a new Mardi Gras krewe form and implode.
Noonie starts getting overshadowed by people doing the work and he quits and shuts down the recall.
Latoya cronie gets caught dumping fake recall cards in or setting up fake recall stations.
The social media 2nd in command gets rehired by Latoya for a six figure salary when it is over.
Latoya takes a celebration vacation to Bora Bora on the city dime.

Thats all it is....I dont think any recall effort, no matter who or when it was started would work......but it will send a message and hopefully force her to respond.
No one actually believes they will get 58k signatures in 180 days......but it will give us something to watch
And it pisses off JohnnyKilroy from New Metairie in the process

N.O will just vote in another moron like her.

I’m getting all the people in my neighborhood and my office to sign. We have a company wide email going on about it now.
We aren’t huge but i feel confident we can get a few hundred signatures.

Oh, I'm going to do my part and sign. I already talked to my older family members and let them know I'll be dropping off the forms for them to sign.
And if need be, I'll drive them to the drop off locations when it is time. She has to go.
