This video is dripping with so much melodrama. It’s great that someone has finally taken steps to remove Teedy, but videos like this make me question their motives.

It’s definitely heavy on the melodrama, but I think it will be an effective video. They focused on the need to come together and remove Destroya while not demonizing her. The “wishing Teedy well” bit may reach some of her supporters and make them realize that the recall effort is not a witch hunt but rather an effort to better the community and restore some order to the city. I think their messaging makes for effective propaganda (and I use the term “propaganda” not in a negative sense but in a political messaging sense.)

Exactly. They already have the support of the residents who hate what she has done to the city. I think this video is targeted to people who may have supported her in the past, and I think it plays to that audience.

also the dude who made the video is JD Carrere who is an independent journalist in NOLA and who actually has some sense. There is ZERO chance anyone here is going to agree with the politics of any of the people organizing this, but I do think they are on the right side of history here
