I know this is off topic, but I spent 14 euros for a beer at an airport today (about $15.50).

Anyone know how the numbers looked for this year's event? I never went out there, but the buzz around town seemed non existent, aside from Swift but she wasn't actually part of it.

I drink Natty and/or High Life every day. I really, really like Grolsch, though.

I guess that's what you have to resort to when you don't have a job

This is what The Advocate said in an article "Attendance at this year’s two-day Bayou Country Superfest at Tiger Stadium, as well as Friday’s stand-alone Taylor Swift concert, reached 125,000. Last year’s three-day Superfest, featuring George Strait, drew a record-breaking 135,000."

But Saturday and Sunday was the worst attended days of Superfest ever. We've never seen the east side so empty.

This was right before Kenny Chesney came out and I have a similar picture of right before Miranda came out. It was very obvious that it wasn't well attended.

So if you argue that Michelob Ultra is weak and then turn around and advocate for Bud Light, Miller Light, or Coors Light then you are dumb.

Wondering if the novelty of this event has worn off or it's just a reaction to that shitty line up they trotted out there

I think it's the lineup. The headliners were good but the people leading up to them weren't that big of a draw. Since Kenny took a year off the younger crowd really isn't into him much. Which was the age of people who were primarily there. The floor seats were flooded with high school and college kids, but then a lot of them left once Brantley was finished.

I think they would have a better attendance by putting some older artists in the lead up spots. That would pull the older crowd and then if you get a headliner like Brad Paisley or Keith Urban it would appeal to all the demographics. The older crowd isn't into the "bro country" much at all.

No, it's what you resort to when you have a shite ton of bills to pay and are not an OT baller.

I don't know if the promoters were taking the crowds for granted or they're just having trouble getting good acts to show, but that line up was embarrassingly shitty. I was kind of hoping they lost money on the weekend for that effort, but I doubt it.

I'm sure they still raked it in.... they already announced it's returning next year.

I'm in that picture somewhere. According to the people I was with who had been in previous years (this was my first time), the crowd was no where near past numbers.

He definitely attracts a certain "type".. One that is different from the type attracted by Kenny Chesney, Garth Brooks, George Strait, etc.
