Just hope it doesn't attract the wrong crowd.
I've see more and more of this type of crowd the last few weeks. On my way home yesterday, there were three different sets of homeless folks sitting off of I-12 between Hwy 59 and 1077. One couple was stretched out on the woods line just past 21 headed West towards 1077 and seemed to be settling in for the evening.
Once I got off at 1077, there was another leech sitting in the new roundabout at 1077 and 1085. Yesterday it hit me that I've seen more of this lately and don't like it. We don't need this sort of rifraf around our sanctuary city.

If you have to build a beach, is it really a beach?

Most locals won't use it...I live in Bay St Louis and you never see locals on ours.

Is it supposed to be where the sandbar is at the mouth of the Pontchartrain? I docked there a few times several years ago until I realized the amount of bull sharks that actually push up the tchefuncta from that location. Nope, no more for me thanks

Unfortunately, you will be putting your house up for sale in the near future. Any public attraction attracts

The low class trashy people will pollute it with loud bass music and trashy behavior.
The normal people will probably avoid because of the above.
Bingo. The degree to which the Mandeville area has degraded over the last few years due to how poorly it is being developed and in the quantity and trashiness of people really makes me sad.
This beach is going to be a clusterF of drunks, druggies, broken glass, and fights in no time.

Ever see the Fountainbleu Beach crowd? Now they can save their 2 bucks each and head to the lakefront

After reading this thread I went do some street views because I've never been to the Mandeville lakefront and wanted to see what it looked like.
This old baw is beach ready.

The "beach" has been there. Kids have been wading and swimming there for years. It's just going to be larger now and without the grass that's started to grow.
