This cool streak got me jolly. Even busted open the Evan Williams nog last night.

Last day in the office. Apparently every else cleared out because it's quiet in here this AM

I’m a holly jolly fellow! I went Christmas shopping at Costco last night with my Christmas hat on and a Christmas patch. (This one has gnomes)
Going through the aisles, there was a mom and 2 little girls, probably about 4 and 1. The little girl saw me and said “hey pirate!”
So I gave her and Arrrrr like I always do when kids respond like that.

Then she proceeded to ask me all kinds of questions. What was I doing, was I a real pirate (i told her I was the Christmas pirate.) if I had a ship. Etc.

Then every time she’d see me in the store it was “hey pirate!”
And another slew of questions. I could tell her mom was worried she was bothering me but I don’t mind at all. I would tell little jokes, and after making sure it was okay I let her ring the little bells on my hat after she asked,

It just put me in such the Christmas spirit. I love the smiles and laughter of kids.

One day I might get a whole Christmas pirate getup and go volunteer at the children’s hospital or something for the kids. It lifts my heart to help spread joy.
