Hell yeah

NASCAR officially banned the Confederate flag from its racetracks and events June 10, but some people found a way to display the flag before Sunday's Geico 500 at the Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama.

According to Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, a plane flew above the Superspeedway displaying the Confederate flag and the message "Defund NASCAR."

why are you all so defensive over a failed state anyway
if your heritage is a group of losers that lasted 5 years then i think you have bigger problems to face

Because we recognized that those coming for Confederate statues and monuments weren't just after them. They want to erase history altogether. It's why they're tearing down statues of Jefferson, Washington, Grant, Francis Key, Saint Junipero Serra and now Teddy Roosevelt. You better believe FDR is next because of his internment of Japanese Americans during WW2.

How does removing the statue of a traitor to our country erase history? Why would anyone who claims to be a Patriot be unhappy with that?

They say it's an ode to colonialism. HHTM has a thread about it with a link on the Poliboard.

Some of us might be proud of the fact that we had ancestors fight in such a historic conflict, even if they were on the losing side. I have never owned a Confederate flag nor waved one in public or private. That being said, it's a great source of pride for me, a massive Civil War buff, that my great-great-great grandfather fought at Gettysburg with the 14th Alabama. I can literally walk out a few hundred yards from the southern end of Cemetery Ridge and stand where he stood almost 157 years ago.

He should fly it over an NFL game during the anthem.

I don’t support his cause, but I do appreciate that level of petty.

Maybe it’s more that people Don’t like being told what they can or can’t do.
