New Orleans Water Board says hold my beer.
Straight communist regime. Water leaking on their end of the piping & they will stick it to you for $1000-1500 month water bills J tell you to shove it!
It’s happened to me, family members and many friends. Glad I’m out there

That's an overabundance of caution. There was never anything wrong with the water. Unlike NO.

We pay about $85/mo for water, sewer and trash pickup/recycling on one bill. I find that to be pretty reasonable. Trash gets picked up twice per week too.

very doubtful, most just use it for toilets and drink bottled water.
any way, what doesnt kill you, only makes you stronger, so if you arent dead already, then you will be just fine.

The pipes? Not so much.

So it’s not just me. I was able to get the damn Smartbill autopay to go through for my main account, but the pdf will not communicate with the server to process my autopay for my irrigation account. You call customer service and they have zero solutions to offer other than “oh you must be doing it wrong”. There is no technical support for this system. So I too have to manually pay my irrigation account every month. Has anyone solved this??

The water company is one thing BR does well
That's because it is not a part of the city
Many people, including myself up to 2 years ago, think that BRWC is part of the city.
It is not
It is a privately owned company, run by the same family for years

just means that there was some dirt/mud that got in the lines and they couldn't properly flush it.
