Which city is the biggest shithole? Which is going down the fastest?

They are both shite holes that have bright spots.
Baton Rouge has LSU and Perkins Rowe
Shreveport has Bossier City
And it’s a close drive to Dallas

Baton Rouge is more dangerous but has better food and LSU
Shreveport is still very dangerous, has a better housing market, less nightlife and activities
Baton Rouge is an hour from Nola and Shreveport is a few hours from Dallas
To me- Baton Rouge is the better area because you can live somewhere like Zachary, Denham Springs or St. George.
But Shreveport will investigate if your daughter is gunned down, regardless of race so there's that.
The reality is that the states citizens have to start voting if they want change. Broome, Latoya and JBE.
Everyone that voted for this crew or didn't vote at all has this shite on their hands. You have to show up and create change.

I lived in BR for several years and I travel often to Shreveport for work. Not much difference except less traffic in Shreveport. Would not want to live in either

Not too many years ago I would have ridiculed the OP as ludicrous. Shreveport was so bad. Now... not so much.

Baton Rouge has a lot more to do and places to eat. Shreveport has minimal traffic. Both have high crime, even higher than what I believe they report. Shreveport seems like an absolute war zone. I can’t speak on Baton Rouge, I haven’t lived there in 13 years. I have really been thinking hard about packing up going some here else. I have googled crime rates in Nashville, Chattanooga, Springfield, Bentonville, Fayetteville, etc. They all seem as bad or worse than Shreveport. It doesn’t make sense to me. Especially when the demographics are completely opposite from Shreveport.

I think they both have pros vs cons. Shreveport traffic hasn’t gotten to the bad level as has Baton Rouge. You can get anywhere you want in 20 minutes

Fayetteville has as much crime as Shreveport? Link?

I have looked at several cities over the last month and just lumped Fayetteville in with them. I stand corrected Fayetteville seems very safe compared to others.

Chattanooga has some crime issues. Springfield (assuming you are talking about Missouri) and Bentonville are also way safer than BR or Shreveport.

I feel the crime in Shreveport is more confined to specific areas while Baton Rouge is dangerous everywhere.
Both are shitholes, and it’s a free country so I choose to live in neither.

We just moved to Huntsville. I’ll miss the food, parades, the East Bank, my beautiful South Highlands house, and my lodge, but not a lot else. Shreveport is like a lot of Louisiana. It’s got a lot of charisma, and that’s about all its got.

They both have major issues. But Baton Rouge has a much better industrial base and LSU. So there are more positives there.

Splitting hairs, but I like the short drives from Shreveport better.
Broken Bow, Hot Springs and NW Arkansas aren’t bad drives. But I’m a mountain/hills guys over a beach guy

As a neutral observer I would rather live in Shreveport.
