What is a “cyber tip”?
Typically the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) is the one who tips. I haven't had to work on one of these cases in 10 years, so this is general and may be slightly wrong, but they have a database. Sites (social media, ISP, etc.) send the questionable image to NCMEC and NCMEC scans it against the database. Often these pics are recycled and it "hits" and they send this to FBI.
At that point, you are fricked.

I can’t imagine doing that for a living…

They have certain AUSAs who specialize in this stuff. It’s way more common and widespread than you think.
I did a summer clerkship at a US Attorneys office in law school and worked on some CP stuff. It’s not for the feint of heart.

Gotdam that makes my blood boil.. obvs it’s not worse than kiddie stuff, and if he was looking at pics of kids that’s fricked up- but actually doing sexual stuff to an animal is fricked up on a different level than looking at pictures of anyone/anyhting .
Nah man. They are both sick… but looking at pictures of children is much worse.
You think that looking at pictures of children is ‘much worse’ than having actual sexual, physical intercourse with an animal ? I mean, i guess we are just debating degrees of depravity and sadistic behavior, both are (rightly) illegal.. i guess i just can’t get over inserting your dick into any kind of innocent animal .. much like looking at images of innocent children .

Make sure your kids learn how to speak to women so they don’t become hermit weirdos.

I cannot either and I'm glad that I get to choose my cases now.
I think they're supposed to rotate people in/out of these departments due to the impact it has on them.

The story about that attorney (from either SELA or MS) who was busted a few years ago was really bad. I think he was paying women to abuse their children on cam with possible bondage stuff included. I couldn't imagine watching those videos as a prosecutor/LEO.

I think your idea of a kiddie porn collector/dog fricker is outdated.. everyone on here who’s met the guy said he’s a “great guy” , he seemed (past tense) professionally successful et al…. It’s insidious b/c you never know, and often times (most of the time ?) it’s who you’d least expect .

yes it seems that dude was the opposite of hermit weirdo

Well, unless the pictures of the children were AI generated, then an actual human child was raped and abused. And by looking at/buying that you are incentivising/promoting and raping of children.
It's not a victimless crime.

I never said it was a victimless crime, and neither has anyone else in 13 pages that I have seen.. please correct me if I’m wrong .
Again, i think we’re just debating various levels of sickness, it’s all messed up beyond comprehension .

That's one of the scariest parts about it to me. The monsters out there aren't always some basement dwelling neckbeard. Could be what seems like normal successful people.
I don't have kids but I could imagine the trust issues shite like this would give me if I did. Especially having been around the guy and never would have guessed.

Just remember, the vast majority of cases of sexual abuse, kidnapping, etc. of minors is from family or people close to the family/child.

I don’t have kids either but i think if i did, in 2024, it’s best to just have across-the-board rules for ur kids, like no one outside of immediate family keeps them overnight, no unsupervised whatever whatever…. it’s not perfect, and things can still happen- but unfortunately i guess what i am saying is that- when it comes to ur kids- trust no one .

Well then let me answer your question:
Yes, yes I do. And in no way do I think animal abuse is OK either (to your other point)

Right but you can be an idiot a send a saved photo over email. Even encrypted emails and vpns don’t protect you like you would think

You are a sick motherfricker. Most/all of the children in these pictures have been abused or have had their innocence stolen. If you think some dude fricking a dog is worse than what happens to these children frick you.

Re-read what I wrote. I meant to say “if it helps get these people off the streets - I like it”.
The part I “don’t like” is police stings. Lots of room for entrapment and planting evidence.
But if anyone enjoys looking at or exploiting children - I got no issues with the death penalty. As long as they are actually guilty.
