It’s fine as long as we’re complimenting her looks

That person has an odd post history. Probably won’t get much more than that.

ok so trying to understand all of this, I think some in this thread are confused or jumping to conclusions
so he uploaded a CP file on 3/29 and then another one on 4/18 cyber tips come in and they get a warrant for the IP address and it links back to him
I wondered about that too. What is a “cyber tip”?
If it is a police sting that puts material out there and catches people who seek it out - I don’t love it but it does help to get creeps and weirdos off the streets.
If it is a filter that our internet providers have (similar to AI) - then my first thought is “What other information is my internet provider collecting on me?”
- what posts I like?
- what my political leanings are?
- what my purchasing habits are like?

Just go ahead and assume everything you do on an internet connected device is being passively monitored by the gov. Because it is. It is not really in question at this point.

One of the articles stated Microsoft made the initial report. So my assumption is thankfully he was an idiot and not using tor browsers/vpns. Sounds like he was just downloading via email, sites on the normal web and Microsoft flagged it and sent to police.
Everything we do is monitored lol

If you don’t like getting these creeps off the streets then you are part of the problem

Gotdam that makes my blood boil.. obvs it’s not worse than kiddie stuff, and if he was looking at pics of kids that’s fricked up- but actually doing sexual stuff to an animal is fricked up on a different level than looking at pictures of anyone/anyhting .
Nah man. They are both sick… but looking at pictures of children is much worse.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say CP is not accessible on the normal internet

LEO searches his home and computer, find the two files and he admits to downloading more CP files, including one from two days ago
1. dude is uploading CP and sharing it?
2. is he not using a VPN? he actually downloaded this filth onto his computer?
3. he not only talks to the cops, he admits to a crime from two days ago?
4. he talked to the cops without a lawyer?
5. he is sick and he is stupid, and he will be financially wrecked from this
This reads like you're low-key looking for tips.

These circles aren't typically about just giving it. It's like old ratio sites with mp3s. Also does the whole "we can take each other down" trust thing.

Most of these guys are idiots, but VPNs aren't as magical as you'd think.

3. he not only talks to the cops, he admits to a crime from two days ago?
This is very common. A lot of these guys know what they do is sick, but it's a compulsion and becomes the only way they can get off. It's like the weight comes off the shoulders when they're caught and they can admit it and stop living the double life.
The ones who don't admit it are the legit scary ones.

4. he talked to the cops without a lawyer?
See #3
Also, LEO knows how to entice the pervs to want to admit it to get the semi-absolution referenced in #3. They play these guys like a fiddle.

Financially, socially, socioeconomically, etc.
This isn't like drugs where you get to use the new you as an avatar to propel you into some new life. He's going to be doing low-level, likely manual labor for the rest of his life in obscurity. He's going to get lifetime monitoring/registration, too, so no matter where he goes for the rest of his life, he has to notify his neighbors, can't live by certain things, etc.
This is also why admitting it is common. They have thought about all of this stuff 1000 times.

also the internet makes it easier for otherwise normal people (the ones who immediately regret it but can’t stop because they are addicted) to get started in the first place. Again very much like any other addiction. shite is bad for you and they know it
