You can like/love LA and still admit how far behind we are other states/cities.

No one is denying that.

Enjoy wherever you are. Life is way too short to be splitting hairs about where is the best place to live. Not everyone who retires moves to the mountains or the beach.

I agree 100% with you for once.

I love LA, but to deny it's extensive problems is tiresome

I love SWLA, but at this point I am not sure when I will return. Loving the West Coast for now and may go live in Portugal for a while starting next June but SWLA will always be home.

It's all relative just like anything else in life.

The main problem I have today is an ice chest full of redfish I have to clean and it’s hot as frick outside and i have a huge hangover.

Think I’m just going to drink a beer and watch the game and worry about the fish later.

I have a great job that pays me way more than I'm worth. Zero crime in the area I live. Kids go to a great school. I pay for it but my kids would go to private school no matter what the public schools were like. Low cost of living cancels out private school tuition anyway

Amazon apparently does, as well as all the other states that they think need distribution centers. Except for loser states like Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas.

Alabama has one. 362,000 square foot facility in Mobile.
