Not about a business, but seems to be appropriate ...
Does anyone know the history of the previous house that sat on this spot on City Park Lake:
Google Maps
As I recall, the previous house went up for sale about 15 years ago, and it was subsequently leveled and the current house was built. I also seem to recall seeing a picture of the previous house in a Baton Rouge picture book years ago, so I wonder if there was some importance to the old house.

Does anybody remember the New Generation on Staring at Town South shopping center?
Yes. Was next to a TG&Y. Remember they made part of that an indoor paintball place about 1990 or so.

Original coffee call on college where the walmart is now. In a strip mall with a tall-arse door.
Wasn't the original BR Coffee Call in Catfish Town? I remember that, and Sweet Things Chocolate Chip cookies being the only draws there.

The place next to McDonald's on Airline near the interstate... last time I noticed I think it was a dentist office or something. Wasn't that Miss Winnie's back in the day? I'm recalling biscuits and chicken (maybe?).

That was a second location. Their original was in Village Square on College before Pat Screen conceived Catfish Town.

Nope. The original was actually on S. Eugene near Government St. (sort of across from BR High). It was a tiny little place, but was really neat actually. The one in Village Square was their second location.
